Coronet Peak Telemarking – 19 Sep 2009
Sep 24th
Meet up with a Swiss guy called Jonathan and had some fun runs down Rocky Gully.
Arrow River Pipeline – 29 Dec 2008
Dec 30th
I tried the new camera position on my favourite section of the Arrow River Pipeline trail. Normally this is a quiet track, but as it is summertime, it gets a lot more use and I almost came to grief with a jogger when coming around a corner. I hit the brakes and the back wheel slid out, just avoiding the jogger (apologies for that).

Coronet Peak – 1 Oct 2008
Oct 19th
After a a period of warm weather and rain closed Coronet Peak for a couple of weeks, a late September dump meant that CP reopened for another week. There was around 10cm of fresh snow on top of a light/medium base, which meant for great skiing (particularly as there were very few people around)
Coronet Peak – 12 September 2008
Sep 25th
A beautiful spring day with 10cm of fresh snow made for some great skiing before it warmed up too much and turned the snow to elephant snot.
Coronet Peak – 23 Aug 2008
Sep 1st
Probably the best day of the season with beautiful sunny weather and fresh, dry snow.
The first run was down The Hurdle and over to Rocky Gully. This is a good, fast and cruisy run.
The second run is down Exchange Drop which includes a rare tumble.
The last run is down the Back Bowls in lovely deep, dry snow.
Coronet Peak – 8 Aug 2008
Aug 18th
I met up with a fellow telemarker called Toshi of Doggystyle Telemark fame.
The following video has me following Toshi down the M1 and Shirtfront.
The following clip is taken later in the day and is a fast cruisy run down Greengates and Wall St.
Coronet Peak – 6 Aug 2008
Aug 18th
Rocky Gully is a great place for doing fast runs, after all, it is used by the ski teams for race training.
The following clip shows two fast runs down each side of the T-bar.
Coronet Peak – 1 Aug 2008
Aug 2nd
Coronet Peak had 10cm of new snow overnight which meant great conditions for skiing.
Run 1 is down The Hurdle and Shirtfront.
Run 2 is down the M1, Pro-Am and Shirtfront with the cam mounted to the rear
Run 3 is from the top of Greengates down to Sarah Sue (a great area for skiing when there’s enough snow)
Coronet Peak – 26 July 2008
Aug 2nd
I went up for first tracks (8am-9am), which is a great time to ski as the sun is rising over Cardrona and the slopes are groomed to perfection.
For this clip I decided to mount the cam backwards, which gives a great view of the snow plumes being created on each turn.
A bit later on, I captured a fast run down the M1 and Shirt Front. The runs every where were very cruisy.
Coronet Peak – 15th July 2008
Jul 18th
Early morning the light was quite flat, but by mid morning the clouds cleared and the snow softened a bit and made for some good fun skiing. There’s a lot more grass poking through down low compared to last week and the lower half of Greengates was a bit brown in places.
Crowds weren’t too bad considering it is still school holidays. Maximum wait was around 5 mins.
Best runs were Rocky Gully, Hurdle and Wall St.
Run 1 -M1, Hurdle, Shirt Front

Run 2 – M1, Million Dollar, Wall St

Run 3 – Greengates, Wall St

Run 4 – Greengates, M1, Rocky Gully

Run 5 – Rocky Gully

Run 6 – M1, Shirt Front
